In plain language
Ollantaytambo.com is free to read and carries no advertising. We pay for it through affiliate commissions: if you book a tour or a hotel after following one of our links, the company pays us a small percentage of what they earn.
You pay exactly the same price you would have paid going direct. There is no markup and no surcharge.
Who we work with
Tours, tickets and transfers link to GetYourGuide, where we are a registered affiliate partner. Hotels and guest houses link to Trip.com.
These are the booking platforms we would use ourselves. We chose them for their cancellation policies and customer service, not for their commission rates.
How it affects what we write
It does not. Our rankings are based on price, review history, what is genuinely included and who each option suits.
We regularly recommend things that earn us nothing at all — climbing Pinkuylluna, walking to Ñaupa Iglesia, eating at a chichería, taking a colectivo instead of a private transfer. We would not be much of a guide otherwise.
No operator, hotel or agency can pay to appear on this site, to move up a list, or to have criticism removed.
How to spot the links
Affiliate links open in a new tab and are marked with rel="sponsored". Buttons such as "Check price & availability" and "Check prices on Trip.com" are always affiliate links, and pages carrying them say so.
